I pretty much interested in publishing, both online and off line. Although I am not a good writer, I am passionate of what I am doing – ‘write my mind’ to various media – blogs, journals, and any other media that you could think of – talk about being transliterate!
I always wonder how to publish my book and get it to bookstores. I am sure that those of you that are newly-started authors will ask the same questions.
You can read through the knol and find the first-hand tips on how to choose your literary agents and publishers. Not only that, you can learn how to spot bad agents and publishers.
One case that I have experienced before is an agent wanting to charge me a review fee. Dee clearly explained about this – She said in her knol that you are the one providing the product for them to sell; Why should you have to pay to see if they are interested in your work? Her statement is logical and true all the way.
Here is Dee’s statement I like the most – a bad agent is worse than no agent.
I guess I will stick to freelancing for a while and learn to spot bad practices along the way.
